CGPA criteria for Full-time candidates requiring institute assistantship
Based on https://www.nirfindia.org/2019/engineeringranking.html 2019 NIRF engineering rankings, institutes
are grouped in different bins. Table 2 shows required minimum CGPA (out of 10) or percentage (value in the
table should be multiplied by 10) as per the 2019 NIRF Engineering ranking of the institutions from where the
candidate obtained the qualifying degree. Candidates should refer the particular column and row in Table 2 as
per their category and NIRF bin corresponding to their institute’s 2019 NIRF engineering rank.
Table 2: minimum CGPA (out of 10) or percentage (value in the table should be multiplied by 10) as per the
2019 NIRF Engineering ranking of the institutions from where the candidate obtained the qualifying degree
(as an exception, IISc Bangalore is approved to share rank#1 in this table).
