The first dialogue is between Pierre and Coral. Coral is reading a book called "New Fan" by Joseph Alfaro, about a boy who wants fame but ends up in jail. She finds it a bit boring but has heard good reviews. Pierre gives her another book for her birthday.
The second dialogue is between Sophie, Monica and Johan. They discuss a barbecue party at Karen's house the previous night that Sophie missed due to being out of town. Sophie wants to know if Paul attended the party with Rose. Monica suggests they go to her house to look at party pictures so Sophie can find out.

Coral: Hi, Pierre. I am reading a book that I bought yesterday. Pierre: What’s the name of the book? Coral: New Fan by Joseph Alfaro Pierre: Is he a Chilean writer? Coral: No, he is from Argentina. Pierre: What is it about? Coral: It is about a young boy who wants to be famous but he ends up in jail. Pierre: Oh, I see. Have you liked it so far? Coral: I don’t know. It’s been a bit boring, but I’ve heard great comments about it. Pierre: Look! I bought another book for your birthday. Coral: Thank you, Pierre. You are the best brother in the world. Pierre: I know! I have to get back to work; I’ll see you on Friday. Coral: Bye. Love you.
Segundo Dialogo
Sophie: Hey guys, how’s it going?
Monica: Hi Sophie, pretty good. Johan: Hello Sophie. How are you doing?, we did not see you at the party last night. Sophie: Well, I really wanted to go but unfortunately I was out of town. Monica: Oh! We had a great time. It was a barbecue party at Karen’s house. We enjoyed the pool and also helped to prepare the ribs. Johan: Yeah, everything was absolutely delicious, wasn’t it? Monica: Sure, but don’t forget the music. It was awesome. We danced all night long. Sophie: It’s a real shame I couldn’t go. And… did you, by any chance, see Paul? Johan: Why are you asking that? Sophie: Actually, I want to know if he went to the party with Rose. Monica: Mmm, I am not quite sure if I saw him, but what about going to our house to see the pictures of the party? So that you find it out. Sophie: Sounds like a good plan! Let’s go.
