I'm Just a Bill Project

24 Formal Points in the Gradebook


Choose one of the following options to show how the federal lawmaking process works in America (how an
idea turns into a bill that then becomes a law). It should include all six steps. You will submit your project on
Padlet. You can do your project on paper and submit a picture or using a technology app, it just needs to be
submitted on Padlet so your classmates can see your project and comment on your project. The due date is
Monday Oct. 12 by 11:59pm.

On Padlet you will title your post with your first and last name. Describe which option below you chose to
complete the project. Then post the project. Then comment on two of your classmates' posts with your name
then something about their project. Do not just post “good job” explain why they did a good job. Example on
Padlet.

OPTION 1: FLOW CHART


● Create a flow chart demonstrating the complete lawmaking process.
● This flow chart must include a label, picture, and description for each step.
● Use color and unique design.

OPTION 2: CARTOON
● Create a colorful cartoon, using as many panels as necessary, in order to fully explain how a bill
becomes a law including all steps.
● The cartoon must be illustrated appropriately.
● Use color and unique design.

OPTION 3: STORY
● Write a story demonstrating complete understanding of the lawmaking process including all steps.
● The story should be from “Bill’s” perspective.
● The story should be approximately 1 page in length, typed.
● Be sure to develop the characters, and a plot including a conflict and resolution.

OPTION 4: SONG
● Write a song that demonstrates the complete lawmaking process including all steps.
● The song should be approximately 2 – 5 minutes in length.
● Record the song to and produce a typed copy to turn in.

OPTION 5: POEM
● Write a poem that demonstrates the lawmaking process including all steps.

● Create your own idea that demonstrates the lawmaking process including all steps.
● Must include color and be unique.
