Course Outcomes

At the end of this course students will be able to:

1. Identify sustainability issues within the hospitality industry and more specifically within

their place of business. (Declarative)

2. Describe why these issues are important to the synergy of the local community and

government, and how sustainable practices are a key to long term success. (Declarative)

3. Identify where sustainable changes can be made and evaluate and prioritize them.

(Procedural)

4. Choose sustainable options aligned with GRI Standards. (Procedural)

Objective and Question 1

From memory students will be able to identify sustainability issues within the hospitality

industry and more specifically within their place of business, that follows the guidance in our course

materials for learner, context, and content analyses . (Declarative)

In essay format, using APA formatting & style guide identify the five main sustainability issues

and explain why they are impactful.
