AirPhotoUSA Map Handler v4.23 for MapInfo.

OVERVIEW

“AirPhotoUSA Map Handler v4.23 for MapInfo” is a program for users that already have
MapInfo Professional, version 6.0 or later, installed on their computer. It allows MapInfo users
to open and display the imagery contained in AirPhotoUSA Map files as a layer in MapInfo.

Unlike the previously available AirPhotoUSAx MapBasic script, this program automatically
regenerates the display as you pan and zoom in MapInfo. This program is also much faster.

USING THE "AirPhotoUSA Conterminous U.S." PROJECTION IN MAPINFO.

MapInfo MapHandler 4.0 can be used with MapInfo 6.0 or later to display imagery stored in the
"AirPhotoUSA Conterminous U.S." projection without making any changes. However, if you
want MapInfo to recognize and give a name to that projection or use it for other purposes it can
be added to the MAPINFOW.PRJ as follows:

1). Make a backup copy of MAPINFOW.PRJ. This file is located in the folder where
MAPINFOW.EXE was installed.
2). Open the MAPINFOW.PRJ in a text editor such as notepad (do not use word processor
software).

3). Find the section with the heading "--- North American Coordinate Systems ---".

4). After the last line (projection) in the "--- North American Coordinate Systems ---" section add
the following line:
"AirPhotoUSA Conterminous U.S.", 9, 74, 7, -96, 23.5, 29.5, 45.5, 2500000.0, 0
