Personal Profile
I am a motivated and hardworking individual who is punctual at all times. I
am currently in my final year of studying BTEC Level 3 Business Extended
Diploma and Core Maths in Shipley College and I’m looking to go onto
further education and study Business and Finance at University.
Developing my skills and learning new skills is something that is important
to me and I am more than determined to add to the skills I have already
picked up. After University I would like to progress into Accountancy as I
feel it’s something that I would enjoy and also it’s very interesting.

Skills and Qualities

● A confident individual:
BBC visited my college and I volunteered to be filmed and I spoke about
the issues of Brexit and how it may affect my age group going forward.
Also I participated in numerous presentations in college and in Secondary
school where I had to speak in front of large audiences.

● Punctual:
During my time in Secondary school and in college I always turn up to
lessons on time and have 100% attendance.

● Problem Solving:
In Mathematics and Core Maths problem solving is one of the main skills I
have had to use to work out difficult problems. Also in College I have
worked with other students on different tasks where we have had to
gather and brainstorm ideas in order to solve the problem.

● Numeracy skills:
In some of the units of the Business Course I’m studying I have had to do a
finance unit in which I had to interpret contents of a trading and profit
and loss account and a balance sheet for a selected company.

● Good communication
Throughout the charity events I had to communicate with my peers to
make sure everything was running smoothly. Also this was required when I
had my interview with the BBC.
● Time keeping
During the First Give Charity event I did in college I along with my peers
had to make sure that organised everything beforehand and stayed in
between the time limits we had set out.

June 7th 2018

- SKT Welfare (Charity Car wash to raise money for Palestine)
In this event I worked alongside friends and family and we ran a charity
event in which we firstly advertised the event by using banners and
posters to attract customers. We managed to attract numerous customers
and we all worked together to clean and dry the cars. In the end we raised
£2500 and this was given to the SKT welfare. I picked up various skills such
as time keeping, communicating and working as part of a team

March 2020
- First Give ( Charity event to raise money for the Samaritans)
This charity event was run in college and I alongside my classmates set up
a stall in which we sold things such as cakes, biscuits, tea, coffee etc to
raise money for Samaritans in Bradford. This event ran for 1 hour and we
advertised the event around college by sending out emails and creating
posters and leaflets. We managed to raise £155.31 and this money went to
the Samaritans to help them support people who they were currently
helping.

Achievments

- March 2020, BBC Interview ( An interview with the BBC)

BBC visited Shipley College and my class was chosen to speak about how
Brexit may affect businesses and people of my age group going forward in
terms of getting jobs in the future. I spoke how it may affect jobs and how
people of the UK may have less opportunities in Europe. I learned about
the pros and cons of leaving the European Union and other people's view
on Brexit. The interview process was rather simple and everyone was
interviewed one by one.

Interest
In my free time I play football a few times a week. I also enjoy reading and
spending time socialising with family and friends. During my time in
Secondary School I played competitively in Cricket and Football. I love
watching combat sports such as UFC and Boxing because I find them
entertaining and enjoyable.
