PRESENT PERFECT: action that happened in the past, but we don’t know when this happened.

HAVE/HAS + PAST PARTICIPLE

PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS: actions that started in past but still happening now.

I have been waiting for you since last night.

HAVE/HAS + BEEN + ING FORM

She has been reading a book for hours.

I have been sleeping since last night.

I have been working in a project for weeks.

I have been walking for 3 hours.

PAST PERFECT: is action that happened in a past before an event.

I ate a chocolate cake in my breakfast, but before that I had eaten an apple.

HAD + PAST PARTICIPLE

When the fireman arrived, the fire had already spread.

Already (já) / never (nunca)
