The Turtle and the Hare

Once upon a time, there were two friends: a turtle

and a hare. They were preparing for a running
competition.

Hare: Let’s see! Who is the fastest in the race?

Turtle: Okay, but let’s decide a day, time and place.

Hare: All right! Sunday at ten in the forest. It’s

okay?

Turtle: Don’t worry. I will be there.

Hare: See you! Bye!

Turtle: Bye bye, Hare!

When they decided the day and place, they ate and slept
very well to be full of energy. The day of the competition
finally came.

Hare: I think I will win. I can be as faster as

Lightning McQueen.
Turtle: Hey! Don’t worry. Have fun running. 

Hare: Nah! Come on. Let’s run. Are you ready? Let’s
count!

Hare and Turtle: One, two, three!!! Go!!

And the competition started. The hare ran very

fast, but the turtle ran very slowly. Soon after, the
hare stopped for a moment.

Hare: Oh!! I am so tired. My legs hurt. All

my body hurts! But… where is Turtle?

The turtle was far away. The turtle was in

the finish line! Finally, Hare accepted the
victory of Turtle.

Hare: Congratulations, Turtle!! You are great. You

did it!

Turtle: If you work hard, amazing things can happen.
