1. ” Growth is an evidence of life.” What does this mean?

Ans. Growing up is not easy, every one of us grow in a special way and different . We must value,
trust and believe ourselves in order to grow and live , growth involves changes and changes involve
pain.

2. Define development in your own words. Translate the meaning of development in Filipino and
in your local dialect.

Ans. Ang pagde-develop ayon sa aking pag-unawa ay tungkol sa paglago ng emosyon. Sa oras na
ika'y hindi mature sa buhay dadaan ka sa mga pagsubok hanggang sa magkaroon ka ng kaalaman na
sapat upang maging mature na sa buhay.

3. State the 5 major principles of human development from a life-span perspective. Give at least
one application of each principle in the teaching-learning process. What have these principles to
do with you as you teach learners.

Ans.
 Development is Lifelong. It does not end in adulthood. No developmental stage
Dominates development.
 Development is Multi-dimensional. Development consist of biological , cognitive, and socio-emotional
dimensions.
 Development is Plastic. Development is possible throughout the life span.
 Development is contextual. Individuals are changing beings in a changing world.
 Development involves growth, maintenance and regulations. Growth , maintenance , and regulations are (3)
goals of human development. The goals of individuals vary among developmental stages. For instance, as
individuals reach middle and late adulthood, concern with growth gets into the back stage while maintenance
and regulation take the center stage.
