Topic: Age - relatedness in beginning materials.

Information:
In this essay you should discuss the ways in which different music tutor
books and musical materials match with different age groups of students.
For example some books might be better suited for young students, some
for teenagers, and some for adults. What are the specific features of the
books that would decide which age group you would use them with?

Marking criteria:
• You have selected key beginner tutor books/musical materials for your
instrument that are relevant to the set topic, and have summarised and discussed
the key features of each resource well.
•Your ideas are expressed clearly and persuasively.
•Your analysis of the suitability of a book for a particular age group is
well thought through and logical.
•You have addressed key pedagogical elements in the music books/
materials selected.
•All sources are fully referenced using either Harvard or MLA systems. For further
