As law students, studying and mastering civil procedure is probably
one of the most important matters for us to become competent lawyers in the future. The assigned article relayed to us how law and religion were two ideas that somehow did not go together, especially when it comes to their application and complexity. Religion was straightforward, and on the other hand, law was something that one could tweak in order for such to work to his advantage. Civil procedure teaches us that in cases, be it criminal or civil, it is not only a matter of who did wrong, but the technicalities could save one from getting a conviction. In religion, there is no such thing; because religious leaders or their followers think of their own law as absolute – what is right must rule.
