percent from 2010 to 2020, about as fast as the average for all occupations.

The Ivy Institute of Technology
offers the Automotive Institute on
the Lafayette campus. The program
focuses on the skills and knowledge
required of industry in the automotive field.
The automotive program in the Ivy Institute of Technology is a
40-week program that includes instruction and hands-on lab
activities. The classes meet 35 hours per week (seven hours per
day), so you’re done in less than 12 months and are prepared to
enter the workforce quickly. The program is focused on technology,
with math, reading and writing exercises embedded in class
projects instead of traditional classroom settings. The programs
prepare students for entry-level and intermediate skilled jobs. After
completing the program, students take the exams for industry
certifications. The credits can also be applied toward an Associate
of Applied Science degree program at Ivy Tech Community College.
