Correlational Study

This study aims to seek the potential of Elephant Grass (Pennnisetum purpureum S.) Leaf
Fibre as an Alternative Absorbent for Oil Spill.
Specifically it aims to answer the following questions:
1. Is there a significant relationship between particle size and oil absorption rate of the
plant?
2. Is there a significant relationship between particle size and sorption time of the plant?
3. Is there a significant relationship between particle size and saturation of the plant?
4. Is there a significant relationship between varying temperature of samples and oil
sorption capacity of plants?
5. Is there a significant relationship between varying temperature of samples and sorption
time of plants?

plants?
2. Is there a significant difference between parts of plants and sorption time of the plant?
3. Is there a significant difference between parts of plants and Mechanical Strength of the
plant?
4. Is there a significant difference between parts of plants and Saturation of the plant?
5. Is there a significant difference between parts of plants and varying temperature?
