3D Modeling

-3D Modeling refers to the manner of creating 3D objects.

Using Extrusion to Generate Forms


a. Click the extrude button>Select the object to extrude.
b. Specify the height.

Presspull-presses or pulls an area.


a. Select Presspull>Select the bounding area.
b. Specify the height.

Revolve
a. Draw a profile>Select revolve.
b. Select the object to revolve and the point of rotation.

Loft
a. Draw a profile>Select an object to loft.
b. Select the object to loft.

Sweep
a. Draw a profile>Select an object to sweep.
b. Select the sweep path.

Add
a. Select Union>Select the object(s) that you wish to join.

Subtract
a. Select subtract>Select the solids that you wish to subtract from.
b. Select the object that you wish to subtract to.

Intersect
a. Select intersect.
b. Select the objects that you wish to intersect.

Slice
a. Select the object to slice.
b. Slice the shape.

Generate Section
-generates a 2D or 3D version of a shape.
Activity: 3D Modeling
1. Design a skyline using extrude or Presspull 5. Model a tube using sweep.
command.

2. Model a wine bottle using the revolve command.

3. Model a banana and a vase using the loft command.
