    SIMPLE PAST / PAST CONTINUOUS

    MY HOLIDAYS

    On my vacations with my wife we met the sea. I traveled to Cartagena


    by bus while my wife traveled by plane since she had to travel by land
    for work reasons. On the road trip I was visiting various municipalities,
    while my wife looked at the clouds. When we arrived, we spent the
    whole afternoon in front of the sea, later in the evening she went to the
    hotel while I was drinking beer until dawn in a bar near the hotel.

    On those vacation days she put on several kilos because she ate a lot
    of meat while my wife only ate vegetables since she has been a
    vegetarian since she was very young. It was an unforgettable three
    days for our lives while our children watched tv at home, we together
    with my wife were watching a beautiful sunset in front of the sea. When
    we returned home, it was boring to return to the routine of work and
    study. While we enjoyed our house in Cartagena, we were fulfilling a
    duty, a duty that we fulfilled with great love for our children.
