REB500 (AHMED ELSHERIF )

To adjust the communications between central unit & bay units:

1- Go to HMI500 software settingsdevice structuredetails
U will find central unit slot node IDs & go left to check each bay unit node ID
2- Go to each bay unit restart it while it is restarting press (E) to go to (change MVP address )
Put Node ID & Device ID as you found in HMI500
3- Connect the fibers between CU & BUs “TRANS to REC” & “REC to TRANS”
4- Down load the HMI500 file to central unit (learn how to connect CU to ur PC “HMI500 in
the following):
open the software and enter the Admin name (Admin) & password (REB500Admin).
To get the file from central unit or Bay unit:
1- Adjust the communication settings

2- To connect via LAN cable :

Then connect the cable back side the central unit in (LAN1), then go through the relay
screen menu [Central unit][settings][LAN][HMI][IP address].
3- To take the settings in relay Go to (File)(upload from protection system)
4- To adjust Binary Inputs & outputs:

Then choose which relay u want to modify

Choose (new signal)

Then choose which o/p u need, and the time delay for the signal must be (0ms)

5- To configure led u have to configure the function u need first as input or output

Then , then choose the relay  make new signalchoose from the
available binary signals.

6- To adjust the setting of diff : go to

Check Zone setting must be less than Bus zone settings or equal to it. As both must be activated
to pickup the diff.
U have to adjust (Diff curr alarm) behavior for both BZ & CZ. “ what it will do”. And u have also
adjust the behavior of the relay when isolator position disturbed as following:
