Project Proposal
1.1 Introduction
Attendance Management System is a software developed for daily student
attendance in schools, colleges and institutes. If facilitates to access the attendance
information of a particular student in a particular class. The information is sorted by the
operators, which will be provided by the teacher for a particular class. This system will
also help in evaluating attendance eligibility criteria of a student.

1.3. Project Overview statement:


In This system there are three main classes
1: Admin
 The Admin Add& Modify details of Students, Teachers & Subject (if required).
 Administrator must have valid user Id and password to login.
 If a wrong Id or password is given again it asks for valid Id and password.
 Valid administrator can view desired accounts.
 Administrator can insert/update the academic calendar and he can also view the
details of a student
 He can add/delete a student or faculty into the organization.
 Admin can generate reports to the students
 He can also view the details of a faculty.

 The registration of teacher and student is necessary and the process of registration
do only by the admin. They can add new student and teacher if the new student or
teacher come.
 Admin provide register number for all students, assign each student a course etc.,
Administrator can update his profile, and also can give help to the teachers and
students.
2: Lecturer
Teacher have the Authority to generate reports on the basis of Attendance by
subject and Attendance Day by Day. The Log in of teacher is necessary and the teacher
have the authority to view the student profile and mark the attendance is Present or
Absent. If the student is late 10 min then the teacher can mark absent otherwise the
student is present. The Teacher have not the Authority to update the profile of the student
it’s only update by the admin.
3: Student
 Student must have valid user Id and password to login.
 If a wrong Id or password is given again it asks for valid Id and password.
 Valid student can view desired accounts
 A student can view his details.
 And he can view the reports generated by an administrator about his (student)
attendance status.

Time Saving
Our project is time saving when system is work manually then the time is more used but when
use computerized system they reduce the time.
Cost effective
Our project is cost effective because marital is used cheap.

Our project is User friendly and not complex.

Admin login
The Login of admin is necessary and mandatory because without admin
attendance system not started.

Teacher login
Without the Login of teacher the teacher not mark the attendance of the
students.
Attendance
Attendance is bigger mandatory part of this project.
Registration
Without Registration the user cannot access the attendance System.
Reports
Without Reports the decision of attendance relate to student is not possible.
Course
Without Course Identification is not possible.

Student Login
If we not include this feature in our project then the running of our
project is done.
Teacher Attendance
In this the attendance of teacher is not mandatory and necessary.

1.7. Exclusions:
Student fee
We not include in this feature for our project. Because we are not concern
the student fee. We only concern the student attendance.
Teacher Salary
We do not calculate the salary of teacher.
Leave
The concept of leave is not keep in our project we only include the present or
absent.

1.11. Tools and technologies used with reasoning:


We use different types of Tools for develop our project.
ASP.Net
ASP.Net is a programming language and development that allows you to
create programs that run under the windows operating system. It enables you to develop
many different type of applications, it is a programming language used to create window-
based application. It makes it very easy to get the user interface of the application and
running it. It is very easy and it provides a very user-friendly environment while
programming inASP.Net. It provides a vital link to graphical environment and allows you
to develop applications based on standard windows, features: dialog boxes, command
buttons, pull-down menus, scroll bars and selection lists etc. It also allows creating robust
applications that fully make sure of the graphical user interface. It is use for front end
design.
MY SQL
It is use for back end design to store the data. RDBMS is the basis for SQL,
and for all modern database systems such as MS SQL Server, IBM DB2, Oracle,
MySQL, and Microsoft Access. The data in RDBMS is stored in database objects called
tables. A table is a collection of related data entries and it consists of columns and rows.
