Process
CO2 Production Plant Process Description
The fuel is burned under carefully controlled conditions. After water/soda ash scrubbing, CO2
from the ue gas is absorbed into a monoethanolamine based solution which is subsequently
heated by the combustion process to release the raw CO2 gas. The CO2 is then led to a
vertical, two stage, dry running (oil free) compressor and on to the highpressure, potassium
per manganate purifier.
After thorough drying in an automatic twin tower molecular sieve drier, the CO2 receives final
purification in an activated carbon filter prior to feeding in to an refrigeration loop in the
liquefier. The pure, liquefied CO2 can then be fed to a bulk CO2 storage tank.
This continuous process is efficient, reliable and safe.The CO2 meets international food-grade
quality standards and is used daily by the world's top gas companies, soft drink and beer
brands in over 100 countries.

Charcoal Based CO2 Production Plant
MOS Engineered Charcoal CO2 production plants are compact, simple to operate and maintain.
In this system charcoal or coal is used as fuel and burns these incompletely in a fire box,
producing wood gas, solid ash and soot, the latter of which have to be removed periodically
from the gasifier. The wood gas can then be filtered for tars and soot/ash particles, cooled
and directed to burner. This burner is used in the Re-Boiler to heat MEA to release the raw
CO2 gas. The CO2 is then led to a vertical, two stage, dry running (oil free) compressor and
on to the highpressure, potassium permanganate purifier.
After thorough drying in an automatic twin tower molecular sieve drier, the CO2receives final
purification in an activated carbon filterprior tofeedinginto anR404arefrigeration loop in the

Basic CO2 Recovery Process:
Co2 Recovery Plant takes CO2 gas from the fermentation process passes through a series
of purification processes namely - a stainless steel CO2 foam trap to separate the gas,
adeodorizer. At the same time, CO2 with a very high degree of purity is indispensable for the
production process in a modern brewery. With our CO2 recovery plants we offer systems
which meet all requirements of efficient carbon dioxide treatment: maximum purity with
lowest O2 content and maximum yield.
In several steps the carbon dioxide gas is purified thoroughly, so that it complies even with
the strict demands of the brewing industry. From the fermentation tanks the CO2 is first led
to the foam separator. In this stage, the foam entrained from the fermentation tanks is
separated. Through low-pressure gas storage balloon the gas ows into the gas scrubber,
where it is cleaned by counter ow of water. In the gas scrubber water-soluble impurities
and aerosols are absorbed from the carbon dioxide.

Brewery Based CO2 Recovery Plant
We are engaged in manufacturing and exporting brewery base plants, which is manufactured

The first step of volume reduction is a two-stage compression. With a dry-running piston
compressor the fermentation carbon dioxide is compressed to one sixteenth of the original
gas volume. After the CO2 compressor the gas passes through Deodorizer's consisting of
two vessels, substances inuencing odour and taste are removed, with identical plant design,
the only difference between the purifier and the dryer is the filling with special activated
carbon. After this the gas passes through drying unit of the CO2 recovery plant. It consists
of two adsorption tanks filled with drying agent molecular sieves In order to remove the
residual moisture from the gas, the carbon dioxide ows through one tank while the other
tank is regenerated by heater. In the next phase the CO2 is liquefied in a shell and tube heat
exchanger and inert gases like O2 and N2 are removed. All stages of purification in a MOS
CO2 recovery plant will be precisely adjusted to the specific requirements of a brewery,
taking into consideration technological and financial aspects. By compression and condensation
the storage volume is reduced to such an extent that temporary storage of even very large
quantities of carbon dioxide requires little space. The compressed gas is liquefied in the
condenser and then collected in a storage tank. Thus, the brewer can collect the carbon
dioxide produced during fermentation over several days and can then use it for the production
process as required.

The ue gas initially treated for removal of Sulphur compounds before it is transported into
the absorber where the CO2 gas is extracted by absorption utilizing with our specially
formulated solvent. This solvent is then thermally treated by the steam-controlled re-boiler
in order to separate the CO2 gas from the absorption solution. After the subsequent
compression, purification and liquefaction the CO2 quality meets the specifications of ISBT.

Vacuum Insulated Liquid Carbon di-oxide storage Tank
Vacuum Insulated Liquid Carbon di-oxide storage Tank systems use liquid in low pressure
form. This system maintains Carbon di-oxide at a TEMPERATURE OF ABOUT —20°C with
corresponding pressure of 20kg/cm2g. This system permits exible operation, dependability
of supply and eliminates manual handling of large quantity of gases in cylinders. The storage
vessel is self contained, consisting of coded vessel of low temperature grade carbon steel,
insulation and control system. The vessel is provided with approved class valves, piping and
fittings. All necessary certificates and testimonials required for statutory approval are
furnished with delivery. The design pressure ranges between 22 to 26 kg/cm2g. Insulation
may be either conventional PUF or vacuum insulated jacketed vessel filled with powder
insulate to minimize the evaporation losses. The capacity ranges from 1 MT to 100MT.

CO2 Liquid Transfer Pumps
CO2 Transfer Pump is specially designed and engineered to move large quantities of CO2
between two Low pressure vessels. The Ductile iron pumps for liquid CO2 transfer
applications. These pumps have a number of vanes that are free to slide into or out of
slots in the pump rotor. When the pump driver turns the rotor, centrifugal force, push
rods, and/or pressurized uid causes the vanes to move outward in their slots and bear
against the inner bore of the pump casing forming pumping chambers.
As the rotor revolves, uid ows into the area between the vanes (pumping cambers) when
they pass the suction port. This uid is transported around the pump casing until the
discharge port is reached. At this point the uid is squeezed out into the discharge piping.
The model of transfer pump, we design is reversible, thus it avoids the requirement of
troublesome loading and discharge pipework arrangements.

Introduction
MOS PSA plants, adopt technology which is proven and tested. The plants are manufactured
using Carbon Molecular Sieves of renowned and reputed make, which ensures trouble free
operation and long life of its plants. The plant equipments under-go through Quality checks,
procedures and comply with International safety standards. The plants are skid mounted with
compact design and automated PLC controls, designed to produce Gaseous Oxygen and
Nitrogen, at specified purity levels.
Process Description
Air is taken from the Air compressor and Oxygen/Nitrogen is separated from other gases with
the help of Molecular Sieve (Oxygen Plants) and Carbon Molecular Sieve (Nitrogen Plants).
The Nitrogen plant consists of two Adsorber vessels filled with Carbon Molecular Sieve
through which compressed and clean air is passed. The product gas Nitrogen comes out
during adsorption in one vessel. The 2nd vessel is regenerated by de-pressurization and
keeps cycling alternately, in production and re-generation cycle. This ensures continuous
availability of Nitrogen Gas for the process.
Salient Features
Production of Oxygen or Nitrogen is with single press of push button. The plant requires
about 10 main. to start producing high purity gases. It is not necessary for running the
plant, when the gas is not being consumed.
Plants are of compact design and skid-mounted. The installation and transportation of the
units, is much simpler and convenient.
Plants are with PLC controls and fully automated.
Plants have long life and low maintenance, since it has very few reciprocating and rotating
components, which calls for only routine and trouble-free maintenance.
Power efficient Plant - Air cp,[resspr os the main source of power, whereas only nominal
power is required for operation of instruments.
The only other utility required is Cooling Tower. Therefore the cost of electricity, is basically
