gin afternoon tea.

In the evening, we invite you to join us

for a sparkling cocktail and canapés
reception with live music from a local
choir. Afterwards, prepare yourself
for an exquisite four course welcome
dinner featuring entertainment from our
magician and balloonist.

After dinner, enjoy relaxing music from

pianist Tom Wilkinson, followed by an
illuminating lakeshore walk complete
with hot punch & toasted marshmallows
by the bonfire.
 Christmas Day Friday 25th December 2020
Start your day with a traditional Cumbrian breakfast, perfectly accompanied with a Mimosa
Cocktail. Then join us on a special Christmas treasure hunt around our beautiful spa garden, for
the chance to win a special prize.

We hope you’ve built up an appetite, as our Head Chef and his team serve up a fabulous six
course Christmas Day lunch in the award-winning Lake View Restaurant. After lunch, settle
down for the Queen’s speech at 3pm with a cup of tea and a slice of homemade Christmas cake.

In the evening, enjoy a Cumbrian ‘Lakes and Fells’ buffet in the Lake View restaurant. End the
day on a relaxing note, by taking part in our Christmas quiz where the lucky winner will receive a
spa day for two at the incredible Falls Spa.
 Saturday 26th December 2020
Breakfast on Boxing Day would not be the same without a Bellini Cocktail. Afterwards, If you
feel more fresh air is on the agenda, join our guided walk to a picturesque location. We’ve got a
tempting banquet of homemade pizza and refreshments awaiting your arrival.

The team will be awaiting your return to the hotel with an indulgent hot chocolate station
where you can expect the full works - milk and white chocolate, Nutella, whipped cream, mini
marshmallows and more. Don’t forget to have a go at guessing the weight of the Christmas cake
for a chance to win a prize.

In the evening, join us for pre-dinner drinks in the bar where you can grab a fun prop and strike a
pose in front of our magic selfie mirror. The photograph is then yours to take home as a memento
of your stay. From here, make your way to one of our award-winning restaurants for a fabulous
six course black-tie dinner, including a delicious dessert buffet, followed by live music from John
Penn.

The famous Lodore welcome awaits you in the form of our gin afternoon tea, where
you can look forward to finger sandwiches, savoury treats, and festive cakes, all served
with tea or coffee. Choose a gin and tonic from our selection.

In the evening, you are invited to a sparkling cocktail and canapés reception, hosted by
our General Manager and his team, before indulging on a magnificent four course meal
in one of our award winning restaurants, where you’ll be mesmerised by our close-up
magician and balloonist.

After dinner, take a seat in the comfortable lounge bar for some relaxing music from
our talented singer, Glen Anderson.
This festive season, immerse yourself in the tranquillity of The Falls Spa.
Complete with a stunning thermal suite offering 12 different heat experiences,
a champagne bar and a 16-metre infinity edge vitality pool, who would have
thought the festive period could feel this serene?

 Thursday 31st December 2020

Prepare yourself for the forthcoming festivities with a hearty Cumbrian breakfast and
tempting cocktail. This is followed by a fun treasure hunt in our beautiful spa gardens, where
the winner will receive a special prize! If the outdoors doesn’t tempt you, stay warm and
come along to our sushi or champagne masterclasses, afterwards a light lunch buffet will be
served.

As midnight draws closer, dress to impress and join us on the red carpet to pose for a photo
from our magic selfie mirror, a keepsake to take home to remind you of your visit. Best
dressed couple wins a bottle of Champagne!

Tonight’s six course dinner has been prepared by Head Chef and his team, offering you a
unique dining experience to end the year - keep an eye out for the piper! Afterwards, enjoy
live music from Frankies Trio and our resident DJ until 1am.

When the bell tolls midnight, ring in the New Year with a glass of bubbly and a pulled pork
roll accompanied with stuffing and apple sauce to keep the celebrations going.
 Friday 1st January 2021
There is no need to hurry down for breakfast this morning, as a fabulous hot & cold jazz brunch buffet
will be served in the Derwent Suite between 10am and 2pm. Our two kitchen teams have worked
together to offer a fusion of traditional English and exotic Asian inspired dishes. Start with a Mimosa or
spicy Bloody Mary cocktail and relax as our jazz band brings the sounds of New Orleans to the hotel.

If fresh air is on the agenda, join our New Year’s Day guided walk to a local beauty spot (weather
permitting) with a glass of sloe gin to enjoy at the half way point. Or take a trip to the Lakes Distillery for
a guided tour and tasting, where you will learn the history and the processes involved in whisky making.

Tea and crumpets with Cumberland rum butter will be served on your return. Remember to guess the
weight of the gingerbread house for a chance to win a spa day for two.

Then, finish the night off with a four course farewell dinner, before joining us at the James Bond casino
tables, where the first dry Martini – shaken not stirred – is on us. Have a flutter with fun money for a
chance to win a magnum of champagne.

2nd January
