BASF Irganox 1520

BASF Irganox 1520 is a sterically hindered liquid phenolic antioxidant. Irganox

1520 is non-staining, non-discoloring, low in volatility, and stable to light and
heat. It is recommended for use in stabilizing thermoplastic elastomers including:
BR, SBR, NBR, IR, SBS, and SIS as well as natural rubber.

While Irganox 1520 is a very good product, it is Tri-iso Tryline's opinion that
Evernox 1520 represents a much better value. Evernox 1520 is a direct drop-in
replacement for Irganox 1520 (same CAS number: 110553-27-0). Evernox 1520
is a multifunctional liquid sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant based on
4,6-bis(octylthiomethyl)-o-cresol. Evernox 1520 is specifically suitable for use in
stabilizing elastomers, plastics, adhesives, sealants, oils, and lubricants. Evernox
1520 provides excellent protection against thermo-oxidative degredation. It is
not recommended for use in odor sensitive formulations.
