THE RESEARCH PROBLEM 2

Most Non-profit organisation have concentrated on ensuring they achieve targets in

order to maintain the current sources of funding. While nonprofit organisations have

developed good relations with various stakeholders in Zimbabwe, they have not concentrated

on seeking other funding and it is likely that they will not be able to sustain their presence in

Zimbabwe. To be able to continue in Zimbabwe, nonprofit organisations require research into

fundraising strategies.

For an NGO to achieve its mandate, it requires funding. If funding is not diversified, it

will result in poor financial performance of an NGO (Czahajda, 2016). Non- profit

organisation with a single fund source are facing financial instability and there is need for

non-profit organisation to adopt effective fundraising strategies.

The purpose of the research is to explore funding methods used by other larger non-

profit organisation and their impact on the financial stability of the organisation.
