Causes and Possible Solutions


• No access path provided to the shared documentation location during the “Software Only”
install process.
As part of the installation process, if you chose to install only the software, you must also define a path
to the shared documentation. Refer to “Setting the Documentation Options” in Installation and
Administration Manual for PADS Professional.

• Documentation not installed.


The documentation is a separate release download from the software. The documentation release
download or DVD needs to be installed in order to view the documentation. Refer to “Performing a
Software Install That Uses Shared Documentation” in Installation and Administration Manual for PADS
Professional.

• Location of the shared documentation has changed, but the access path defined in your
software has not been updated.
If the location of your shared documentation has moved, you must update the access path. Refer to
“Setting the Documentation Options” in Installation and Administration Manual for PADS Professional.

• Network drive that contains the documentation is down or the network is open.
Contact your system administrator or Information Technology support person.
