Crestview Voters Approve Bond

Columbiana, OH – When Ohio voters went to the polls on Tuesday, there were numerous school issues
on ballots across the state. Ohio schools depend on these levies or bonds as an essential funding
stream, and many are facing new or additional levies. In Crestview, voters passed a 2.84 mill
construction project bond levy. Matthew Manley, Superintendent says “Thank you for your support! We
are grateful for your investment in the future of our students and their education!”

The passage of the levy ensures that Crestview Local Schools will be able to build a new PreK--12
energy efficient, state of the art, technologically advanced, secure facility. Manley also says, “We are
incredibly grateful that you value education as an essential component of a strong community and we saw
that commitment in your vote today.”

Immediately Crestview Local Schools will begin community meetings and will use its webpage and social
media to continue to update the community on the design and construction process as well as to notify
the community when they will be able to give input into design. The district also will work with the
community to appoint two members of the community to the District Building and Grounds committee.
Manley says, “We want the community to walk with us through this transparent process of collaboration.
We together look forward to the day that we break ground and then proudly cut the ribbon to our future.”

Simultaneously, Crestview Local Schools will continue to monitor operating dollars with fiscal prudence,
accountability and transparency while moving forward to achieve the district’s vision for the future.

The Crestview Local Schools thank the Vision 2020 Bond Committee volunteers for the countless number
of hours dedicated to this effort. We specifically wish to thank and acknowledge our campaign
chairperson and Crestview parent, Jason DeCenso, our executive committee members, and our
numerous volunteers. We also thank our school board members, teachers, administrators and staff,
parents, community members, students and donors who made this effort possible.
