Amigurumi Crocheted Father Christmas Pattern

By Button Beautiful
Materials

This is a list of the yarns used for this particular Father Christmas. Of course, you can use other yarns, and the results
will be just as nice, it’s that I prefer this particular brand as I like the finish it gives. You can also use different weights
of yarn, the basic pattern will be the same but there will be a difference in size. Just a note, that cotton yarns work
best, as they don’t bobble afterwards, but acrylic yarns work, and probably wool, though I haven’t tried that. When
using this particular yarn the finished item measures approximately 35cm from toe to tip of hat.

Notes

This pattern is written in English form, so for everyone in America (or anywhere else that uses the same pattern
type) please read my dc as your sc’s.

This pattern is worked in the round, without joining at each end of the row.

All stitches are worked into both loops of the stitches.

Place your stitch marker in the first stitch of each round to make it easier to keep track of your round number

Assembly

Start by attaching the hat on to the head.

Push a little of the wadding or fibrefill into
the head of Father Christmas, and then pin
in place the hat. I usually position this so
that it’s just above the eyes. Sew round,
using a back stitch on the second row up, so
that it’s firmly attached.

Sew the bell onto the top of the hat (or

anywhere on the hat that you fancy).

Pin the beard in place and sew on to the

face.

Attach the arms at the shoulder, and then

add more wadding inside the body.

To attach the legs and close the body use

pins to get the positioning right, and then
sew closed using the yarn left from making
the tunic.

Pin your belt and buckle around the middle of your doll and sew firmly in place.

And there you have it, your very own Father Christmas!
