How to create an LOV, populated with members of a specified Group/Role.

In Organization: Example: Group/Role, called dba/DBA, with the following members

BMIDE configuration:

In a custom ItemRevision, create a property called: dba_member:

Create a Dynamic LOV:

Steps to create this dynamic LOV:

In the Extensions tab, expand LOV, and on ‘Dynamic LOV’, MB3  New Dynamic LOV…

Name your LOV, Query Type  Browse  Select: User

Add the Query Criteria. Select the “Add…” button:

Create 1st query criteria: Group

In the “Build Query Clause” dialog, select:


Filter: Referenced By
Referenced By Type: Browse  GroupMember
Highlight ‘user’
Select “Next”

Filter: Attributes and References

Select: name
Finish:

Create 2nd query criteria: Role

In the “Build Query Clause” dialog, select:


Filter: Referenced By
Referenced By Type: Browse  GroupMember
Highlight ‘user’

Select: role_name

Set the Values for the Group and Role in ‘Query Criteria’ (in this case, dba and DBA)

Before finishing this Dynamic LOV, you can test it, with the ‘Test’ Button, before deploying:

Now, that the Dynamic LOV is defined, attach this LOV to the appropriate property:

Save and deploy template

In RAC, create an object, and ‘Edit Properties’.


The Property will now have an LOV, listing the members of the specified Group/Role:
