This unit addressed the inevitability of difficult conversations in the workplace, and how
these can be managed more effectively to strengthen relationships and increase the
likelihood of positive outcomes. Think about your own experience managing difficult
conversations as a leader, and discuss the following with your fellow participants:
What did you do to prepare for the conversation, and how did you steer it
towards the desired outcome?
What was the outcome of the conversation? Did you resolve the problem? What
did you learn from this experience?
