Our client is an ASX 100 iconic market leader, and today they are seeking to appoint a talented Project
Manager, Infrastructure to ensure the successful delivery of a number of significant
construction/infrastructure projects across the broader Perth metro and regional territory.

Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Senior Project Manager, Infrastructure, this talented Project
Manager, Infrastructure will take responsibility for the end-to-end management and delivery of assigned
Metro Melbourne infrastructure projects, supporting the operational and commercial growth goals of our
customer. The role includes oversight and responsibility of each project, project budget, fiscal year forecast
and actual spend, and best practice standards including environmental compliance. Recognised as a
waste, collections and resource recovery market leader in growth, they are eager to identify the right Project
Manager, Infrastructure to join their team.

What you will bring to the role

Proven experience in project management of prized asset infrastructure projects


Significant experience with forecasting and tracking of project expenditures
Experience communicating with senior management on group activity and project status
Engineering experience in the civil construction or chemical industry specifically with large earthworks,
refineries and treatment plant projects and/or material processing facilities
Experience in town planning requirements and process
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Environmental, Chemical, Civil or Electrical)
Qualifications in, or working knowledge of project management principles
Understanding of the principles behind the design and construction of waste management infrastructure
Working knowledge of regulatory approvals pathways as they relate to infrastructure projects
A strong track record in safety and Project Management delivery, ideally within the waste and
recycling industry.
Demonstrated experience running multiple projects concurrently and a proven ability to maintain a
detailed line of sight over schedules, budgets and build to ensure the projects are each delivered on time
and on budget
Proven ability to scope, prioritise and plan projects
Monitor and assist in managing the delivery of vendors and subcontractor’s procurement items and
services
Exp communicating with senior management on project status
Demonstrated strategic thinking & problem solving skills
Confident stakeholder engagement and management experience at all levels across the wider
organisation

Your responsibilities will include

Lead projects and people in line with their Leadership Model, exemplifying our values-based high-
performance culture
Leverage their organisational toolkit to increase sustainability alignment and promote brand awareness
and equity to all groups including employees, customers, community and shareholders
Manage, including driving effective and efficient communication between project teams, contractors and
suppliers and other external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met
Obtain appropriate licenses and approvals from relevant authorities for execution of project
Direct and assist procurement in the development of tender requests for relevant activities to ensure the
highest possible standard for tender submission, minimising costs and maximizing scope activity
Manage the commissioning and hand over of projects to the operating team
Lead project teams in the development of ‘fit for purpose’ design, and construction of new infrastructure
assets and the rehabilitation of closed assets
Manage asset project handover including operational and environmental compliance for the assets with
all regulatory and best practise requirements, pollution abatement notices, Council notices etc
Establish, monitor and review project life cycles to ensure the delivery of project on time and budget

What you will receive in return
