GUIDELINES FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE SEMINAR REPORT

Report should be neatly typed on one side of the A4 sheets with left margin 1.25” and top, bottom, right margins of 1”
each.
The cover page should include the title of the topic in 14 point scale (Arial font, Bold, Capital, Centre justified) followed
by the name of the student, roll number, branch, class/section, e-mail id and contact number each in 12 point scale (Arial
font, Bold, Capital, Left justified) in double spacing.
The main text of the report should be typed in 12 point scale (Arial font, justified) with double spacing throughout the
report. Section headings should be in 12 point scale (Bold, Capital, Centre justified) and numbered (Ex: 1, 2, 3…). Leave
two line spaces after each section heading. Section Sub Headings should be in 12 point scale (Arial-Bold initial capital,
left-justified) and numbered (Ex: 1.1, 2.2, 1.3…).
The header should contain the title of the seminar topic in 10 point scale (Arial-Italic-Initial-Capital) on the right side.
The footer should contain- “Dept. of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engg.” along with the logo, Typed in 10 point scale
(Arial font, Italic) on the left side.
Page numbers should be included on the bottom right corner (Do not include the header, footer and page number in the
cover page).
The index page is to be provided at the beginning of the report and the references at the end.
The report should contain a minimum of 15 pages and a maximum of 20 pages.
