Guidelines for Report Preparation

Text Formatting: -
 Student has to submit two spiral bound copies of Research Project Report printed on A-4
paper after the approval of concerned faculty guide.
 Whole report should be typed on one side of the paper with character font in size 12,
subheading -14+BOLD and main heading - 16+ BOLD of Times New Roman.
 The layout of project report should ensure a margin of 1.50 inches on the left, 1.00 inches
on the top, bottom and right.
 Fresh paragraph should commence after five spaces. Line spacing of 1.5 shall be
maintained throughout the report.
 The page numbers should be indicated at the bottom-middle of each page.
Photographs/Figures and Tables: -
 The figures, photographs and tables discussed in the chapter must be serially numbered as
Fig. 1.1, 1.2 etc., where the first digit represents the chapter, the second digit represents
figure number.
 The photographs related to the study must be present by writing its name / description
below it.
 The tables may be represented as Table 1.1, 1.2 etc., the first digit representing chapter and
the second digit represents table number.

The Research Project Report must be compiled as follows: -

1. Cover Page & Title Page


2. Student Declaration Form
3. Acknowledgement Page
4. Certificate Issued by Department (By guide and Head of the BBA program)
5. Table of Contents with Page Numbers
6. List of Tables (If Any)
7. List of Figures (If Any)
8. List of Symbols, Abbreviations and Nomenclature
9. Chapter I - Introduction (Min. 5 pages)
10. Chapter II- Literature Review (Min. 10 pages)
11. Chapter III -Research Objective(s)/Research Design/Methodology (Min. 4 pages)
12. Chapter IV - Data Analysis and Interpretation (Min. 10 pages)
13. Chapter V - Research Findings (Min. 2pages)
14. Recommendations/Future Research Scope/Limitations /Conclusion (Min. 4 pages)
15. Bibliography (APA Style)
16. Project Guide Comments with Signature.

Note – Failing to follow the specifications discussed above in the report cause direct rejection.
