Purpose:
This experiment aims to obtain the transfer (ID -VGS) characteristic
of the JFET after that we will investigate the parameters of the
common-source amplifier.
I Procedure:
1. we Connect the circuit as shown in figure 2. (JFET:BF246B)
Use Cc1 = 1μF, Cc2 = 47μF, Cs=100 μF, RL =3.9kΩ,
RS=RD=2 kΩ, RG = 200 kΩ, VDD = 12V.
Apply a sinusoidal signal with frequency 1kHz,
amplitude 100 mVpeak.

2. we Measure the DC operating point (Q point).

3. we Observe (and sketch) both input and output
waveforms using the scope
4.we Increase the scale of the scope and observe the
waveforms in the point G and D (using the DC
mode) . What do you remark?
5. Using the ac voltmeter, we determine the values of vi
and vo , and compute the voltage gain AV.

Conclusion:
After This experiment we obtained the transfer (ID -VGS) characteristic
of the JFET after we investigated the parameters of the common-source amplifier.
