The need to carry out this study is to know how English teachers are making use of the different strategies offered by the current national English plan of our country. In the educational field it is necessary to constantly prepare, therefore both teachers and students must have strategies that allow them to improve their study and training; In this case, we will focus on the secondary teachers of the institution Gimnasio del Pacifico - Tuluá, where we seek to study the implementation of the teaching-learning strategies proposed by the Ministry of Education. Learning strategies are a sequence of cognitive and procedural operations to process information and learn it meaningfully, the procedures used in a learning strategy are called learning techniques; that is why it is necessary to know how foreign language teachers implement these techniques in the educational process.
