COURSE INFORMATION
Course Title: Biblical Hermeneutics
Course Code: THEO 111
Hermeneutics is a science, an art, and a spiritual act. It is also a task that involves exegesis which is the study of the text’s meaning; and contextualization which is
the cross-cultural communication of a text’s significance for today.

Hermeneutics is a three-unit course that gives students the necessary tools for digging deeper into the Word and teaching them how to use them. It offers the
Course Description: understanding of the three perspectives, levels, and meanings of hermeneutics. Students will be required to apply hermeneutics by delivering an expository sermon.

The knowledge, skills, and insights that students gain from this course may be used by them to proclaim God’s word to every generation by working on the
relationship between the meaning of God’s word and its significance.
Course Credit: 3 Units

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
