Hello Parents!!
This week, we are covering Vocabulary in class.
• Vocabulary simply means all the words in our language. The
more words a person knows, the easier it is to understand
information when they read!
For your student to grow their vocabulary they have many
Online Resources options. Just going through their normal day, they can pick
up many words! However, if you would like to help your
student specifically work on vocabulary, here are a few
Crossword activities you can try together:

Word Scramble • Read nonfiction books together about shared interests you
may have with your student. Nonfiction books are a great way
to pick up new words.
Synonyms
• Play games like Boggle or Scrabble together. Your student will
get practice recalling words as well as learning new ones from
you as you play together.

• Watch YouTube how-to videos. Many how-to videos use task

specific language that can help build up vocabulary.

• 😊 Try one of the online links to the left. 😊
