WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF BEING A MAN OVER A WOMAN AND VICE VERSA?
Gender equality is achieved when women and men enjoy the same rights and opportunities across all
sectors of society, including economic participation and decision-making, and when the different behaviors,
aspirations, and needs of women and men are equally valued and favored.

GROUP B
Discuss the questions below. Remember to support your answers!

1. Are men and women really equal? Why/why not?

2. Can women make effective managers and bosses? Do you think they can excel in this role?
Why do you think so?
3. Have you ever wanted to be a member of the opposite sex? What if you could change genders for
just one day?
4. In general, what can women do better than men? Why do you think so?
5. What are some more commonly held stereotypes with regards to women? Do you agree with any of
these notions?
6. Who offers greater contributions to society, men or women? Why do you think so?
7. What are the accepted roles of men and women respectively? Do you fit into these roles?
Should these roles be challenged and changed? Please explain.
8. Name ten famous women in terms of career, background, kinds of success, and so on.
9. Some suggest that men and women just don't seem different, but are really two separate species.
What do you think? Can you give any examples that highlight your opinion?
10. Would the world be a better place if women were in control? Why/why not?
11. Who do you think is easier to raise, boys or girls? Why?
12. Imagine that two men want to become parents, and two women want to become parents.
Which couple would prove more capable? Why do you think so?
13. In our context, is it easier/better to be a man or a woman? Why? Would someone of the opposite
gender agree or disagree with you?
14. How do the friendships between men differ from the friendships between women? Why?
15. What do you think about friendships between men and women? Is it possible for two people of
opposite genders to just be friends? Why/why not?
