SUITS OF CARDS MEANINGS

(NB…this is a system of reading that requires refining to better suit Lenormand. Please give feedback
on how it could be altered)

SUIT MEANINGS:

(I have been advised that in Lenormand my spade and club meanings need to be swapped. Please do
this if it suits you. It does not make sense to me as my below meanings are compatible with tarot
suits ex heart=cups(emotions), clubs=wands(motivation, business), diamonds=pentacles(money)
spades=swords(intellect, negative thinking)

Hearts=happiness, warmth, love If heart cards progressing in larger numbers then happy conditions
improve

Clubs (in Lenormand people swap spades for clubs) = busy, versatile, activity, work, papers, journeys
(again higher the number of clubs more this increases)

Diamonds=indecisive, unsettled, restless, Money

Spades= (in Lenormand people swap spades for clubs) problems, blocks, barriers, health concerns

Hearts + Diamonds=beside each other-unsettlement, indecisions family, personal matters

Hearts + Spades = personal family blocks, barriers (again swap this for clubs in lenormand if you
wish)

Hearts + Clubs= busy around personal, family concerns

Diamonds + Clubs= unsettled in work and career. Paperwork of financial matter

Diamonds +Spades= pessimism to do with decisions around health or financial matters

Example reading: Clubs followed by Spades (in Lenormand some would reverse this) = getting no
where fast. Add hearts and this pertains to personal, family matters.

MULTIPLE CARD MEANINGS-SAME SUIT:

reunion is by the sea or water. (esp. if ship is there) Pleasure with welcome addition to family circle
of longlasting nature. Changes lay foundation for happy sound future (supported by how many
hearts are in reading – hearts=man, stars, tree, moon, rider, dog, heart, storks, house)

Red 10’s Lovely surprises – unexpected windfall of money plus welcome family reunion= relief and
happiness. Red Tens= Dog, Book (check suits to back this up) |Red+Black 10=change in work

suit)

A Spades + 9 Clubs (Lady + Fox) Invitation to wine and dine in large building; situation which you will
battle very hard to overcome and bring to conclusion (check the suits)
Top spades 10 to Ace (Ship, Child, Bouquet, Lilies, Lady) Court proceeding you will have much
interest in outcome …..again some say spades should be swapped with clubs with Lenormand

Ace Spades + 10 Hearts (Lady & Dog) Death of female family member who is senior citizen. Personal
family worry coming to end, feeling or relief.

7 Spades + face card (Letter with any face card) Beware treachery with one who professes to be your
friend

A Spades + 8 Spades + face card (Lady + Garden + Face Card) Illicit meetings with this person with
another. Once again some people swap spades for clubs so Garden would be mountain (8 clubs).
Check the suits for more information.

9 Clubs + Any Diamond Face Card (Fox + Scythe or Crossroads or Fish)

6 Diamonds + Any Face Card (Clover + any face card) News of untimely death of any husband or wife
known to you. Surround cards will determine whether upset or not.

A Hearts + Face Card (Lady + any face card) If face is facing Ace then welcome visitor if facing away
then upset or someone is moving away.

Jack Hearts + Ace Hearts (Heart + Man) Engagement celebrations check other cards to be sure of
this.

Jack Hearts + 9 Hearts (Heart + Rider) Dearest Wish coming true

Ace Spades + 8 Hearts (Lady + Moon) Death which is happy release. Family, personal issue being
resolved or coming to end.

Queen Hearts + Ace Spades ( Storks & Lady) Play acting. With Jack Clubs (whip) [in Lenormand some
