Accident Investigation Data

An accident investigation is considered as an art and a science whose main objective is to

design effective prevention strategies; since exploring the sources of a disaster and coming up

with steps to manage or eradicate it can assist in preventing a similar occurrence from occurring

in future. Accidents can infrequently be recognized to a single cause as work surrounding; job

restrictions and worker practice are some of the leading causes of these issues (Ahmed, Sadullah

& shukri Yahya, 2014). Therefore, accident investigative data frequently plays a significant role

in understanding the function every aspect has in causing these accidents. Once the causes have

been identified, effective preventive measures are designed and initiated with the main aim of

preventing recurrence of such eventualities. To evaluate why and how an accident occurred,

investigators ought to gather data on the actions that happened before and during the event.

Investigators can then establish disaster circumstances by evaluating physical facts and

interviewing witnesses. Both of these steps are significant and should be carried out soon to

ensure total accident exploration.

Air accident investigation is considered an involved responsibility thus investigators must

have a diversity of competencies together with excellent technical knowledge of all aviation

systems and processes aimed at achieving success in the role (Ahmed, Sadullah & shukri Yahya,

2014). One of the fatal crashes that happened in 2019 is that involving an Ethiopian airline flight

302 that crashed just some few minutes after takeoff killing close to 158 people on board. The

cause of the accident was investigated, and the investigation information was essential in

discovering the hazards that led to the fatal air crash and designing effective measures to avoid

reoccurrence. The data is also significant for compensation matters to the affected individuals
where the court may rely upon the data in determining the amount of financial compensation that

ought to be accorded those affected.
