Predatory fish
Do you know about predatory fish? Predatory fish are ornamental fish which, like most people, live
in fresh water. The difference is that these fish prey on other animals or smaller fish to become food. Many
people like predatory fish because the fish's behavior is not much moving or relaxed but can suddenly turn
very nimble when eating food. Predatory fish are exotic fish that have unique patterns or shapes on their
body parts. Arowana (Scleropages formosus) or Red Siluk is one of the freshwater fish species from
Southeast Asia. This fish has a long body, anal fin is located far behind the body. Asian Arowana generally
has a silvery color. Asian Arowana is also called "Dragon Fish" because it is often associated with dragons
from Chinese Mythology. Arapiama (Arapaima gigas) is the largest freshwater fish species in the world
originating from the waters of tropical South America. Arapaima fish can grow to a maximum of 3 meters
in length and weigh 200 kg. At present it is very rare that arapaima are more than 2 meters in size because
these fish are often caught for population consumption or exported to other countries.
There are some similarities from arowana and arapiama fish, the first is food, the second fish is
carnivorous fish that is a meat eater, both of these fish like to look for prey in the form of small fish, frogs
and shrimp. The similarity of the two fish is not much moving or relaxed but when they see their prey, these
fish immediately attack fiercely. The third similarity is that these two ikians are happy to be in a river
overgrown with trees such as engkana, putat, rasau and entangis trees where the trees have roots in the
riverbed with tree trunks in the water, but the leaves are lush upwards. In this habitat, arowana and
arapiama fish are located, breeding and hiding. The last similarity is that arowana and arapiama are
territorial in that they have power in certain areas and will attack fish or other animals that disturb them.

Can be gathered from the discussion of arowana and arapiama fish have beauty such as colors,
patterns and unique shapes. This fish is also very soothing eyes when looking at it because this fish moves
very relaxed. If you want to keep the fish you have to buy the fish in captivity, and don't look for them in
the wild because both of them are on the verge of extinction, so we have to participate in preserving the fish
so that later our children and grandchildren can see and know the beauty these fish.
