Plan of action

The general question for my multimodal project is “What is it like moving to such a small city
(lubbock) from such a big city (san antonio). And “do you prefer living in Lubbock than San
antonio?” These are my questions that I am going to be answering and asking my friends (that
also were from San Antonio and are here with me at tech.) . I am going to be asking these
questions because there really is a big social/community change up here in Lubbock compared
to San antonio. I have lived my whole life in San Antonio and moving to Lubbock was a
complete and total environmental change for me and I'm sure as well for others. Another reason
why i'm going to be asking those questions is because in an antonio it is so big and there's tons
of stuff to do. But here in Lubbock it's very small and there isn't really much to do. Everytime i
tell people I attend tech they always say “why, there's nothing to do there!” i want to know if my
friends from san antonio who now attend tech think that there's nothing to do here also. My
primary research I am going to be conducting is asking my friends that also grew up in san
antonio those questions. I want to know how they feel about Lubbock and what they like and
dislike about this town. If they regret coming here, if they can wait to be back home for the
holidays, and if they are having fun out here. I will be asking these questions to, alana, brynne,
jayse, evan, and gonzo. Since covid is rapidly spreading in Lubbock I will take the safe route
and call or text my fellow san antonio friends and conduct my research that way. Some other
sort of sources i will be using will probably be articles written about lubbock by college students.
I believe this is my most effective plan to complete this assignment because i can get straight to
the questions about lubbock and it would more efficient to ask these questions over the phone
or text because of covid and they can interview can have more time to really think about their
response and not feel so forced if it was a face to face conversation. I believe that I can
complete this assignment in a timely manner and that my interviews and research on articles
will be able to answer all my questions and I will have enough information.
