CONTENT ANALYSIS - PLOT SUMMARY

Tom Dogun being a collateral damage from the war on Terror. And he was being accused

of the hijacking that happened, which he was offered by the CIA to clear his name by going

undercover to capture the real culprit which they are trying to get, which is his best friend Alex

Kairouz. Though he was doubtful because he believes in his best friend he still accepted the

offer. When a oil tanker was drifting near Singapore with a dead crew and in Panama an

explosion happen and there is Alex lying near death with his suicide attempt. But all of this was
still framed to Dogun in which he escaped to follow his last lead to Russia in which he became

an advisor to a Russian Spetsnaz unit on a suicide mission.

ACTIONS AND/OR SOLUTIONS MADE BY THE CHARACTERS

The protagonist in the story Alex Kairouz where transporting illegal cargoes using commercial

vessels that the CIA is investigating due to a malicious act, The main character who was accused of

hi-jacking was offered a chance by the CIA to clear himself from his case by capturing his best

friend Alex Kairouz while onboard. This was a crucial decision made by Dugan since he and

Alex are best friends and the guilt is bothering Dugan in doing his work onboard but in the end

he wants himself cleared from the CIA as he chose to turn in his friend to the CIA however his

friend died during the process.

CHARACTER?

We agree on the decision made by the character as it is the best decision for the maritime

industry. If he had not helped the CIA, his friend would have caused more trouble in the

maritime sector. Crew of the ships were dying for mysterious reasons. It is indeed a good

decision since it will make the maritime industry a better place to work with. An industry free

from the harms brought about by criminals wearing black suits and formal appearances but deep

inside they are doing unlawful activities. It helps maintain the harmony in the field of maritime

industry. Keeping the water areas free from dangerous threats to the crew and the ship. It resulted

in prevention from possible damage.
