Background

 In everyday life we of course have known soap. Soap is a mixture of sodium or potassium salt
from fatty acids which can be derived from oil or fat. Soap we usually encounter in a variety of
daily life most often used as an ingredient for washing and cleaning the dirt on the body in the
bath or before eating we are required to use soap. Soap is very useful for our daily lives.
Therefore, in this experiment we will make the soap we usually use. We make soap by reacting
between ethanol and coconut oil. It is hoped that students will be able to load soap correctly.

The conclusion that the writer can draw from this paper is the chemical reaction that occurs in
the saponification reaction.

Besides that, the superiority of solid soap compared to other types of soap is that it has a good
glycerin content for those who have eczema skin problems. But solid soap has a higher pH level.
Therefore, solid soap is easier to make skin dry. This dry skin makes healing slow when the skin
is injured. Even so, lately there has also been produced a solid soap that contains neutral pH so it
does not dry the skin anymore. And also solid soap has a lower level of pollution so it will not be
too dangerous to other animals in the gutter.

How to make the lemongrass soap

1. Heated head oil with a temperature of 70 c


2. Put the stearic acid into yhe coconut oil.
3. Stir the solution.
4. Enter NaOH,KOH and still stir the solution.
5. Then glycerol, the fine granulated sugar and dye enter to the solution.
6. Stir until the solution blended.
7. And then put the lemon grass oil, stir the solution.

How to make the recycle paper

1. Scissors the paper and then soak in a bucket for a day and night.
2. Blend the paper with the ratio paper:water = 1:3 until it becomes pulp.
3. Put the pulp in a tub or bucket which was been filled with a quarter of water.
4. Dissolve a little wood glue( one/two spoon) with water and put it in a tub of pulp. Mix
weel.
5. Prepare a board or plywood that has been previously coated with pabric. Then wet the
board with water.
6. Insert the screen into the tub, strain the pulp until the water is slightly gone and flatten.
When filtering, don”t be too thick.
7. Place the screen upside down on the board, groy the screen or gauze slowly so that the
pulp will come off the screen and stick to the board. Place the screen upside down on the
