Position Objective
Business Analyst is responsible for shaping and developing IT requirements for strategic regional and local school IT projects.
In this role, you will work across functions within AIS on various business needs, problems and initiatives, which technologies
play pivotal roles in driving changes and enabling the solutions. You will use problem solving techniques, such as design
thinking techniques in defining real business needs, identifying root cause of business problems, generating insights and ideas
to business problems, and using user stories and prototyping techniques to articulate business requirements.

You will often act as coordinator in early phase of an initiative, developing high level plan and coordinating activities to bring
the initiative forward. You may at times take on project manager role in some of the projects, leading from ideation stage to
benefit realization stage.

Responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities but are not limited to those listed below:

● Analyse and validate the business needs for IT initiatives using modern problem-solving techniques such as design
thinking, customer journey etc
● Develop the needs in the form of user stories for the IT initiatives
● Organise and conduct design thinking workshops for the IT initiatives
● Provide support for low-code based IT applications e.g SharePoint, PowerApp etc
● Conduct user training on the low-code applications

The job holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom s/he is
responsible, or with who, s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita
Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all time. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job
holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must
report any concerns to the School’s Child Protection Officer/Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head or indeed to the
Regional CEO so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third-party services.

Qualifications
● A degree in business, engineering or technology
● Two years or more of working experience in a similar role
● Have experience in at least two of the follow skills:
- Design Thinking
- Agile Methodology
- Project Management
- IT Business Analysis
● Familiar with web applications or cloud based digital platforms such as SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not
mandatory

Terms of Employment
● Working Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
● Annual Leave: 21 working days per annum

● Probation Period: 3 months from date of commencement
