Background

Electricity is one of the most important components to support

human life. The high demand for electricity such as lights, computers, air
conditioners and other electronic devices causes excessive electricity
consumption. The biggest source of electricity comes from coal and
natural gas which can run out at any time. The lamp is an electronic
device most often used by humans both day and night. Researchers try to
think of other alternative energy that can supply electricity to turn on the
lights. One of them uses the innovation of a body heat power plant that is
peltier. Peltier is a device that is able to change the temperature difference
into an electrical voltage.
Peltier is a layer that has two sides, upper side for hot temperatures
and lower side for cold. the greater the temperature difference the greater
the electrical energy produced. Researchers took the initiative to make a
reading chair that can turn on the lights with human body heat energy.

Result and Discussion

Assembly method
1. Cut the seat foam layer according to the design
2. Arranging 5 TEGs with soldier according to the series
3. Arranging the light sensor and heat sensor that is on the lamp
4. Connect the TEG circuit and the lamp circuit
5. Make a base cover with batik
6. Install the tool on the chair
Procedure
1. The light will automatically turn on when the reader occupies the
chair at night or when the ambient light is dim
2. The heat supplied by the reader to the chair will be absorbed by TEG
and produce electricity
3. The electrical energy will enter the battery to charge the battery
4. The electricity from the battery will turn on the lights
5. The lamp will adjust the brightness level needed to read with the
sensor
Result
This tool uses a peltier size 40MM * 40MM* 3.4MM with the results of
five seri circuit generated 5 Volt 1 Amperes of power mounted on the
base of the chair (20 degree temperature difference). The base of the chair
has a maximum hot spot because it has been occupied for some time. The
light will automatically turn on if the user uses the chair. The process of
the occurrence of electrical energy is when the seat base is occupied at
the top and the bottom is not treated. Then electricity will flow towards
the baterai and lights up LED and be able to be used as a study lamp or
reading lamp

Conclusion
1. Slight is able to produce electricity with body heat with type SP1848
of 5 Volts 1 Ampere.
2. Slight is equipped with a light sensor and heat sensor so that it is
capable of automatic slight

Future Research
Researchers plan to improve the quality of the circuit and the quality of
TEG to produce maximum power
