I- Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students can:
+ practice guessing the vocabulary through pictures
+ learn lexical items related to “Interests”
+ practice new ways of asking for interests
II- Preparation:
- Teacher: book, laptop, projector, board and markers.
- Students: book

Warm-up - Show ss some pictures and ask them to name 1. singing pictures
the types of interests. 2. reading books
- Call on some ss to answer the questions:
“What is your interest?”
- Introduce the topic of the lesson

Vocabulary - Present new words. New words


- Ask ss to listen and repeat the words.
- Have ss note down the words.
- Ask students to match the correct word with
the picture
Structures - Elicit ways to ask for interests.
- Introduce more structures to ask about
interests:
Wh + do + you + V... ?
“What do you like doing?
What type of hobbies do you have?
What do you get up to in your free time?”
- Introduce how to reply:
“I’m interested in… (noun/ Ving)
I’m keen on (+ noun / Ving)
I’m into (+ noun / Ving)
I enjoy (+ noun / Ving) ”
- Have the students practice using the structure
in pairs and whole class

Discussion - Have Ss read through the questions in the


survey
- Practice the questions in pairs and for the
whole class
Post – - Present a picture
Discussion - Divide class into 2 groups
- Each group presents a brand name that
doesn’t coincide with the other group
