Conclusions and Recommendation

Through careful consideration of the facts presented and data from gauges of
psychological functioning, the following conclusions have been drawn.
1. Although the petitioner has provided valuable insights about the respondent’s contributions to
the debacle of their marriage. It was found through psychometric procedures that he also suffers
from a few, clinically significant, socio-emotional deficits;
2. The petitioner’s clinically significant patterns are impermanent and readily treatable,
considering that he does not have a personality aberration;
3. The Respondent has been found as suffering from a persistent pattern of deficit and
maladjustment, that renders her Psychologically Dysfunctional to handle interpersonal, marital,
and parental obligations;
4. The respondent’s personality aberration has been established as antedating the marriage, and
abjectly affecting her adult functioning, through the following:
 Grandiosity / Arrogance / Inordinate Pride
 Excessive Need for Admiration / Infidelity
 Interpersonal Abusiveness
 Lack of Empathy
 Haughtiness and Boorishness
 Borderline Personality Features
5. The respondent was found to consistently and pervasively exude an incorrigible pattern of
grandiosity, need for admiration, interpersonal abusiveness, and lack of empathy;
6. The respondent’s condition is clinically termed as Narcissistic Personality Disorder [Axis II,
Cluster B];
7. The respondent is unlikely to respond favorably to any treatment effort, much less be expected
to facilitate necessary changes on herself; less be expected to facilitate necessary changes on
herself';

One of the major problems with treating people with Axis II disorders is that they rarely
identify themselves as needing treatment. Hardheartedly believing that her central traits are mere
products of individual differences and not psychopathological concerns, she is unlikely to view
herself as needing refinement or change. The last thought that the petitioner should ever ruminate
on is to give the respondent another chance. In case he would, the very same deficits and
impairments would once more cause him to overwrought. What the petitioner clearly needs is a
chance to start anew and put back together the life his wife has forced to the gutters. Nullity of
Marriage is therefore highly recommended.
