o a six week intensive Math+ course incl. scientific working,

 You can join the course from any German language level (none to C1)
o as well as a study place at one of our partner universities of applied sciences.

 The length of the program, as well as the price for the program varies according to the German
language level you hold before course start
o Course duration: 8 – 18 months
o Course price: 8,690 – 15,350 Euro

2) PPS TestAS:
 This program includes
o intensive German language courses (30 hours per week),
o the Studienkolleg course, preparing you for an in-house exam,
o a six week intensive Math+ course incl. scientific working,
o as well as a study place at University of Applied Sciences Hamm-Lippstadt.
 You can join the course from any German language level (none to C1)
 The length of the program, as well as the price for the program varies according to the
German language level you hold before course start
o Course duration: 8 – 18 months
o Course price: 8,690 – 15,350 Euro
 Before course start or latest before start of the university studies you need to take the
TestAS, a central standardised aptitude test for foreign students
 Taking the FSP is not necessary with this program
3) PPS English:
 This program is entirely taught in English language
 It includes
o the Studienkolleg course, preparing you for an in-house exam,
o the intensive Math+ course incl. scientific working, which is included in the curricula
of the Studienkolleg course,
o as well as a study place at University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt.
 Course duration: 8 months
 Course price: 8,690 Euro
 Before course start or latest before start of the university studies, you need to take the
TOEFL or IELTS
 Taking the FSP is not necessary with this program

How to apply – our online application tool
To apply for a BIC Preparation Program please use our website. Check which specific degrees are of
interest for you – using the search tool on the right-hand side or looking at the six study fields on top of
the page. Once you know the partner universities you would like to apply to, click on Apply Online –
the green button on the right or click on this link http://www.berlin-international-college.de/en/online-
application.html. The application process takes only three steps!

3. Pay the application fee (credit card or bank transfer)

Documents needed for your application


A complete application consists of:
 Passport,
 Secondary school certificates and transcripts (in original language and as legally attested
translations to German or English),
 Payment of 174 Euro application fee (via credit card online or bank transfer, see bank transfer
details below).
 Please provide us with up to three different university and study program choices of which at
least one needs to be a university of applied sciences (please fill in the choices in the online
form).

If you attended a university before or have proof of (German/English) language, please also hand in:
 University certificates and transcripts (in original language and as legally attested translations to
German or English),
 Proof of language level:
o For German preparation program: TestDaF, telc, DSH or Goethe certificates
o For English preparation program (only possible with University Würzburg-Schweinfurt):
IELTS or TOEFL.

Application fee payment


You can pay your application fee within the application process online through credit card.
If you wish to pay the application fee by bank transfer please wire 174 Euro (plus transfer and/or
exchange fee) to the following account:

General tips for applications / FAQs
There is no admission exam for BIC. The University Application Service for international Students (uni-
assist) will test your documents individually.
According to uni-assist, the general requirement for Bachelor degree programs is a secondary school
graduation (at least 12 years in total) with minimum 50 % of the overall possible points and a
specialization in the desired area of study.
For Master degree programs, you need a bachelor degree in the desired area of study.
German language proficiency is not required, since you will take language classes as part of our German
preparation program.
For our English preparation program PPS English, your IELTS or TOEFL points have to reflect your ability
to follow the classes.
Due to the large number of applications we receive, applicants need to pay the application fee of 174
Euro first. Only then, applications can be processed or questions regarding an application can be
answered.
