Appreciative Inquiry into the Programs and Activities of the Sa Paglaya Cooperatives

ABSTRACT

PURPOSE AND MOTIVATION

Elevating poverty that hugs the community of Laiya Aplaya through farming .We researchers are
looking and aiming to look ,understand ,and study how Sa Paglay Cooperative help there community to
reach and break the never ending dillema of there society .Economically speaking ,we want to see how
farming give the progress that there community is looking for .Cooperative is not just about money
transactions ,it is also about educating people to use their capabilities and learnings to something
purposeful and progressive .Studying how Sa Paglaya Cooperative differ to other cooperatives and how
differ their advocacy is .

Educating people about the importance farming and land ownership .Participating and involving
themselves individually to the goal of there cooperative .Answering the doughts of those who
questioned the cooperative itself.They are looking and digging even more deeper to look on something
creative and resourceful to do,and as a result ,they are now producing other products that comes and
made by coconut and coconut husk .There is nothing impossible to happen if you try and you are trying
it not just for your self but also to your community.

PROBLEM

Lack of participation and knowledge about cooperatives might lead everyone to dought and
distrust .A major problem that we want to answer.We researchers conducted this kind of topic to saw
the different between cooperative that deals on money transactions or with the involvement of money
and to some cooperatives that only give knowledge and jobs to those who will be member of it.How
important the two cooperatives in terms of it's perceptions and goals.Sa Paglaya Cooperative wants
everyone to be a land title holder and have there own land to plant off.

METHODS

The qualitative nature of this study reveals how the key programs can be described and how the
members characterized the impact of Sa Paglaya Cooperative.It's main objective is to comprise detailed
investigation of a single individual,group or event to explore the causes of underlying principles.By the
means of theoretical sampling the researchers collects codes and analyses the data to generate the
theory.

RESULT

Findings revealed that the Programs and Activities of Sa Paglaya Cooperative focus in elevating the
Poverty around the subject area,specifically the Laiya,Aplaya.It demonstrate that this organization
relates to the contribution on economic and social development between the members of
community.The themes displayed the factors and effects resulting Sa Paglaya Cooperative growing in
just twelve years and become more effective in the lives of local.
Where the member-respondents perceived the effects of Sa Paglaya Cooperative in their
community,where activities and programs not only help the elders but also the youth.One is giving
summer jobs,teaching the youths to be responsible and most important is to be creative in the way they
know.

The results of this paper shows that this Cooperatives is not working by money but in the minds and
hearts for change of the heads of Sa Paglaya Cooperative.Analysis concede interesting themes about the
influence of this organization in the familsies and businesses with the connection in agriculture and
crafting.Implications for this study provide the reality behind the Sa Paglaya Cooperative where methods
used to conduct this research.

DISCUSSION

This study aims to know how Sa Paglaya Cooperative elevate the poverty embracing the
community.Does jobs and Land title holder wasn't enough or enough to deal with it?According to La
Marco (2018),the main purpose,main goal of ownership and control of a cooperative
business.Cooperatives are not just about the money involvements and transaction,it is also deals on
giving jobs on it's member.Sa Paglaya Cooperative mainly focused on agricultural and crafting jobs.

We conducted this kind of topic to ensure and saw how Sa Paglaya Cooperative change the
economical status of Laiya Aplaya through the farming and making of products that surely hit the
demand of the market and ensure the uniqueness of their cooperative.As what Mrs.Gusi said "Wala
pang pagbabago,ang tao ang nagbago".Maybe people attitudes and perceptions change but they can
change their lives too,through involving and participating Sa Paglaya Cooperative will assuming that.

CONCLUSION

Cooperative main purpose is the large purchase and to feel empowered (La Marco,2018).However Sa
Paglaya Cooperative exceptionally emphasis in how the indigence will elevate by means of providing
services,knowledge and business to the resident of the subject area.This study give evidence that Sa
Paglaya Cooperative in Laiya,Aplaya benefit the community in terms of resources and employment.
