Dear Viviane,

We would like to invite you to our webinar to discuss proposed changes to Platts CIF
Northwest Europe diesel cargo reference size. The webinar will take place on
Wednesday, September 14th, between 10:30 and 11:15 a.m. CET.

At the end of July, we published a proposal to raise the basis size reflected in the Platts
CIF Northwest European diesel cargo assessment from 20,000 to 30,000 metric tons.
We believe this is necessary in order to capture a growing flow of larger cargoes from
the Baltic, US and the Middle East.

S&P Global Platts editors Ilana Djelal, Maude Desmarescaux and Olivier Lejeune will
cover:
 Rationale for the proposed change: larger diesel cargo sizes have become
increasingly relevant in Northwest Europe due to rising diesel production
globally
 Potential impact on Platts assessments: if implemented the proposal would
impact all Platts CIF, FOB Northwest European cargo assessments and netbacks
 Proposed implementation timetable: based on the views of market players,
the proposals could take effect from January 2017

At Platts, we’re committed to consulting the market before making any changes. We
will therefore allow plenty of time to address your questions and feedback on the
proposal.

If you’ve not previously participated in a Platts webinar, they’re a great way of staying
up to date with the key issues from the convenience of your own desk. Simply register
for the webinar, login at the start of the session, receive an update on the proposed
changes, and share your views all without leaving your office.
