Reflection Paper

The 2nd semester taught me a lot of lessons on Reading and

Writing Skills. First, we start the lessons on Text and Discourse
and how this two related to each other. Second, I’ve learned
about Narration, Two Ways of Narration( Clipprd and Paced),
Logical Actions and Terminology( Abstract, Concrete, Specific
and General Terms. I also learned about the Techniques in
Selecting and Organizing Informations like brainstorming,
methods of brainstorming(Idea List, Idea Map, Cubing and
Researching), graphic organizers and the types of graphic
organizers ( Venn Diagram, Network Tree, Spider Map, Problem-
Solution Map, Timeline, Plot Diagram, Series of Events Chain,
Fishbone Map Cycle and Persuasion Map). I also learned about
Outline, Two Outline Formats (Alphanumeric and Decimal
Outline), Principles of Outlining (Coordination, Subordination,
Division and Parallel Construction) and Kinds of Outline
According to Structure (Topic and Sentence Outline). Lastly, I
learned about the Properties of Well-Written Text. The start and
end of second semester on Reading and Writing is fun and
amazing. I look forward for the next lessons I will learn this last
grading of second semester.
