Shopping List for Weekly Recipes

Dates subjected to change depending on Covid-19 circumstances and where our


students are learning… I will do my best to stick to our class outline and calendar
as set out at the start of the semester. If you need assistance finding supplies or
food during this time, please reach out as there are many ways we can be of help.

Lesson 14 Nov 14: Thanksgiving Mac & Cheese: butter, flour, milk, chicken stock, Dijon
mustard, 4 cups grated cheddar, 1 cup parmesan, salt & pepper (white preferred), elbow
pasta, & panko bread crumbs (see recipe for options)
Lesson 15 Nov 30: Poke Bowl: CalRose rice, vinegar, salt, sugar, mayonnaise, soy sauce,
sesame oil, fish sauce, sriracha, lemon, pepper, sustainable fish (or favorite protein),
avocado, pickled cabbage/cucumber, carrot, peanuts, green onion, sesame seeds, nori sheets
(choose your favorite toppings to choose your own adventure)
Lesson 16 Dec 7: Cookie Pie: Butter, white and brown sugars, flour, baking powder, baking
soda, salt & choose your own adventure add ins (potato chips, chocolate chips,
marshmallows, cereal, ritz crackers, etc)
Lesson 17 Dec 14: Little Motivators: 18oz box Duncan Hines Brownie Mix (best option),
butter, egg, vanilla, and choose your own adventure nuts & coffee
Lesson 18 Jan 11: Citrus Olive Oil Cake: full-fat Greek yogurt, olive oil, sugar, 6 limes, egg,
flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, powdered sugar
Lesson 19 Jan 19: Brioche Bread: 1 package active dry yeast, sugar, 7 eggs, flour, salt, butter

Lesson 20 Jan 25: Deviled Eggs: 6 eggs, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, heavy cream, salt,
chives, & paprika
Lesson 21 Feb 1: Salad – Your – Way & Vinaigrettes: Students will choose 4 ingredients
(minimum) for their salad and create a vinaigrette dressing from scratch.

Lesson 22 Feb 8: Twinkie Plating Challenge: 2 twinkies plus other ingredients in the house to
create a beautiful plate – examples include hot fudge, berry sauce, whipped cream,
chocolate chips, etc.
Lesson 22 Feb 15: Sweet Toast Your Way: students will need ingredients to create a sweet
toast recipe of their choice

Lesson 23 Feb 22: Savory Toast Your Way: students will need ingredients to create a sweet
toast recipe of their choice

Lesson 24 March 1: Dessert Contest: students will research a dessert recipe of choice for
this lesson
