My name is Ms. Shumaker and I will be a student teacher under Mrs. Gardner. I am currently a
senior at Grand Canyon University getting my Bachelors in Elementary Education. Some
necessary steps I have taken to become a student teacher includes classroom preparation, in
class observations and passing the content exam. While majoring in Elementary Education I feel
like Grand Canyon University/ my professors have done an amazing job preparing me for my
student teaching experience.
I believe every child is different and not everyone learns the same way. As a student teacher, I
am ready to take on the challenge to teach in a way that will be best for every student. I am so
